That's It!
by: Kat

That's it!! It may be a seasonal item in some areas. They also have ONE sugar-free flavor of the slushie syrups, cherry, and it does make a terrific slushie! Very refreshing in the hot summer. You're right, I could write a book just on smoothies and slushies! Thanks for more ideas!

Great Recipes!
by: Suzette Kroll-Barancik, RD

OK, you and I need to collaborate on a cookbook! You have great ideas.

I also (as you probably already know) am a HUGE smoothie/"slushie" fan because I can drink HUGE volumes to get full on very few calories.

Here's one of my tricks: I brew coffee substitute (Teeccino is my favorite but I guess you could also use decaf coffee) and keep some cold in the refrigerator and freeze some in ice cube trays. Then to make a smoothie, I use the cold "coffee" blended with my smoothie ingredients (could be your diet Swiss Miss) and the frozen cubes to make it thick.

You can also brew green tea and do the same thing to get the health benefit of the antioxidants in the green tea.

Thanks again for your great recipes! Keep them coming!
