Low Energy

by Sammantha
(Jamaica)

How Can I Stop Feeling Lazy and Tired? I'm not working.

I'm wondering if it's because I'm not exercising much. When I do exercise, I get so tired within 15 minutes as if I was running a 100 meter race.

I never usually eat much. Now, I'm so ashamed of how I look. I'm 19., 5ft.3" tall.

I didn't mention that I sleep a lot and when I eat I just lie on the bed. I often want to exercise but feel so weak to do so. Oh gosh! I'm on contraceptives! Could that be the case?

Low energy can be the result of a lot of things. Inadequate fluid intake and eating too few calories can be dietary causes.

It's easy to fall into lazy patterns when you're not working. I'd suggest setting the alarm and getting up at the same time every day. Eat something when you wake up and then every 3-4 hours after that. (See all the quick menu suggestions here.) Small mini-meals will give you energy throughout the day. Make sure to drink 8-10 cups of water too.

You may want to check with your doctor too, in order to rule out any medical causes.
