A Dietitian's Guide To Nutritious Quick Meals
I'm a nutritionist. People come to me (in person or online) for help with losing weight, managing health issues, and establishing healthy eating habits. It's not uncommon for me to hear... "I know what I should eat...I just never manage to do it." Even as a nutrition expert, I find myself in the same dilemma from time to time! Why is it, despite our best intentions, that this is a such a common theme? After talking to thousands of clients over the last 1 1/2 decades, I've come to the conclusion that the answer is... I refuse to believe that anyone chooses high fat, high sugar and/or low fiber meals thinking they're the path to optimal health. No... ...it happens because there aren't 26 hours in a day! The demand for quick meals has skyrocketed as we all try to juggle ever expanding work, family and social responsibilities. I know it's a challenge to get fast, easy and nutritious meals on the table. Like you, I have a lot of demands on my time But in order not to be a 500 lb. dietitian, I've had to find creative ways to get quick healthy meals on my own table!
