Whey Protein or Egg Protein Powder?

I have been using Jay Robb Whey Protein, but it is pretty hard on my stomach. Would the egg white protein be easier to digest (I am somewhat lactose intolerant)?

Answer:

I LOVE Jay Robb Whey Protein and I'm so sorry to hear it's not sitting well with you.

Whey Protein Isolate (which is what Jay Robb protein is made of) is very low in lactose, so I'm surprised to hear it's bothering you. It could possibly be the sweetener in it (Stevia) bothering you too (??)

In order to determine if that's the case, you could try the unflavored variety and blend your shake with fruit to sweeten it up a little (and add a date or two if you need to sweeten it even further).

If it's still bothering your stomach, you can absolutely try egg protein, soy protein or rice protein as alternatives.

It could be the sweetener actually. Sugar-free foods make me very sick also. On that note... post lap-band, is it okay to eat fat free pudding instead of sugar free?
I will try the protein suggestions, it's too bad because the Jay Robb Whey is really good.
